Introducing Downtown Boston Chiropractor Dr. Richard Green

I was one of the most fortunate individuals to have been exposed to chiropractic at an early age and then to go on and eventually became the first official Team Chiropractor for the Boston Red Sox.

I had hurt my back while attending St. John's Prep High School in Danvers. I was an avid tennis, basketball and baseball player and was unable to play sports due to my back pain. I was treated by several medical doctors and physical therapists with no relief of my symptoms. I was fortunate enough to have been referred by a family friend to a chiropractor who resolved my back problems and I was able to return to all my favorite activities.

Dr. Richard Green with his son David

I did my undergraduate studies at University of Miami in Florida and after getting all my prerequisites I was accepted to Los Angeles College of Chiropractic where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree.  I was always intrigued with working with athletes and active individuals. I have taken a lot of post graduate courses in the treatment of sports and recreational injuries.

We are trying to return our patients to their pre-injury status and educate them on a healthy life style. We strongly believe in our patients taking an active role in their health and not just treating their symptoms with medication or passive type care. We try to find the cause of their pain and give them the best opportunity get pain free and healthy.  I have been fortunate enough to have a great chiropractic practice which has allowed me to help thousands of patients and some of the top athletes and entertainers in the country.

Most of my free time is spent with my son David. He is nine years old and has been the greatest thing to happen in my life. He is my best friend and finds great enjoyment in all sports. I also enjoy socializing with my family and friends, working out, playing golf, racket sports, going to the beach.  My favorite months of the year are August and September when I visit Marthas Vineyard with my son for our summer vacation.

I regularly receive chiropractic care from one of my associates. I try and get adjusted at least once a month and regularly exercise and take my vitamins. I try to eat as healthy as I can and get my seven hours of sleep a night.

Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.

Dr. Richard Asks some important questions of interest to Downtown Boston residents - Chiropractor Downtown Boston Dr. Richard Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Downtown Boston chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
